Oil on Canvas

The creation of the Blue Lady emerged from the convergence of a period of profound life changes and my personal discovery of Jean-Louis Lemoyne’s A Companion of Diana (pictured below). Originally created as a retreat from life’s demands, Lemoyne’s sculpture resonated deeply with me in both form and function, prompting my own adaptation. The Blue Lady is a physical manifestation of meditation as I reflected on themes such as domesticity, companionship, matriarchal roles, obedience, and loyalty.
