Hey, hi, hello!
MY NAME IS ISABELLA
I’m a painter and graphic designer from Montana, where the landscape and lifestyle have had a lasting influence on my creative work. I earned my BFA in Graphic Design and cultivated my passion for painting during my time at Montana State University. My practice blends traditional illustration techniques with modern visual language.
Outside of visual art, I’m deeply interested in ancient Greek history and mythology, particularly the way classical ideals continue to influence art, design, and storytelling. I’m drawn to the contrast between order and intuition and I’m fascinated by the relationship between the ancient and modern themes of the West. The way ancient Greek art emphasized calculated harmony and proportion translates beautifully to how the mythology of the American West demands both structure and surrender.
In recent years, I’ve lived in Montana, Northern California, and now Colorado, with each place offering its own kind of visual and emotional inspiration. Whether I’m painting or designing, I draw from rolling hills, quiet moments, and everyday details to create work that resonates with the scope of sentimentality I experience my day-to-day life through.
